India’s Independence Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm in the USA

Hillsborough (New Jersey). The Uttar Pradesh Federation of North America (UPFNA) celebrated India’s Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on Saturday, August 16. The event, held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, witnessed a large gathering of the Indian community.
The chief guests of the program were Hillsborough Mayor John Ciccarelli and Deputy Mayor Catherine Payne, who hoisted the Indian tricolor and inaugurated the celebrations. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic fervor as the flag was raised.
Patriotic cultural performances captivated the audience, immersing the entire event in the spirit of nationalism. Special sweets were arranged for children, adding more joy to the celebration.The success of this event was made possible by the active contributions of Shiv Sahi, Amit Kumar, Ajay Prasad, Ranjana, Rohit Gupta, Rajveev, Sandeep, Kiran, Navneeti, Ankita, Pranav, Sumit Kumar, Ayyan, Rahul, Vivek Vipul, Alpana, and Menka. In addition, Sanjay Gupta (President, VHPA NJ) also extended significant support to the program.
The event was coordinated by Prashant Singh Dikshit. The celebration not only turned into a vibrant cultural festivity for the Indian diaspora but also reinforced the importance of India’s independence and united the community in a spirit of patriotism.
