GIVING WHILE LIVING SCHOLARSHIP FELICITATION PROGRAMME

KALA SEVA SAMITI (KSS) is delighted to announce the felicitation event for the second year Giving While Living (GWL) Scholarship Program on 27th February 2022. GWL scholarship is meant to channelize funds from individual donors. This program was started in January 2021 with the objective of providing scholarship to Orphaned/Under privileged children of Bihar to the tune of Rs 1000/- per month so that these children have the means to study. In 2021, KSS had given GWL scholarship to 80 students. This year we would be giving to an additional 50 children with a Vision of providing scholarship to total 1000 children by 2024.The felicitation ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar, Shri Tarakishore Prasad and Guest of Honor, Honorable Member of Legislative Council (Mokama) Bihar, Shri Neeraj Kumar.  The Chairperson and General Secretary, KSS, Suman Choubey and Richa Choudhary welcomed the esteemed guests.Chief Guest, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar, Shri Tarakishore Prasad spoke about the need for NGO and Individuals in providing and facilitating education to the Orphaned/Under privileged children our state. The honorable Deputy Chief Minister stressed on the need for a collaborative effort of various sections of the society in providing education to children and in this context lauded the effort of KSS in providing the scholarship so that these children can have a smooth means to their education.

Guest of Honor, Honorable Member of Legislative Council (Mokama) Bihar, Shri Neeraj Kumar while lauding this social initiative which will contribute in a small way in building and educated society, advised and motivated the students/children to fully utilize this endeavor of KSS and build their future with utmost sincerity and if possible, carry this social cause in the long run when they become capable.The Chairperson and General Secretary, KSS, Suman Choubey and Richa Choudhary thanked Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tarakishore Prasad and Honorable Member of Legislative Council, Shri Neeraj Kumar thanked for taking time out from their busy schedule and gracing the occasion. Their mere presence in this function will help in motivating the entire team of KSS in meeting the Vision of providing scholarship to 1000 children by 2024.KSS Team also mentioned that people believing in the GWL concept and eager to provide scholarship to students can contribute to the following account number. The donations would be eligible for IT deductions under Section 80G.
